Meridian Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 June 2026 · App: Meridian (com.maximillianhum.Meridian)

Meridian is a habit tracker for iPhone and iPad. This policy describes how the app handles information. We designed Meridian to keep your data on your device. Use of Meridian is also governed by our Terms of Service.

Summary

Information stored on your device

Habits, progress, streaks, and settings are stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData and on-device storage. This includes:

Widgets and App Group

Meridian includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. To show and update habit progress, the main app and widget extension share a snapshot of habit data through an Apple App Group (group.com.maximillianhum.Meridian) stored in on-device shared preferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Store recovery backups

If Meridian cannot open your saved data after an app update, it may move the previous database files into a StoreBackups/ folder on your device before creating a fresh store. These backups remain on your device only.

What we do not collect

Meridian does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data, or advertising identifier. The app does not send habit data over the network.

Children

Meridian is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
